Reading: Causative

Yesterday, I had my car washed because it was very dirty. I also got my hair cut at the new salon in town. Last week, I had my house cleaned by a professional company. Sometimes, I have my clothes ironed because I don’t like doing it myself. I also had my computer repaired after it stopped working. Using the causative form makes it easier to talk about services I ask others to do for me. I usually feel satisfied when someone helps me with these tasks.
