Frazal feil
verbparticle(+ particle)

At B2, phrasal verbs combine a verb + particle (and sometimes two particles). The meaning is often idiomatic — not just verb + literal direction.

AZ
B2 səviyyəsində frazal feillər feil + hissəcik birləşməsidir; məna çox vaxt idiomatikdir — tək tərcümə ilə hərəkət yönü deyil.

Examples (B2 level)

  • bring up — mövzunu qaldırmaq: She brought up the budget.
  • carry out — yerinə yetirmək: We need to carry out a review.
  • come across — təsadüfən tapmaq / təəssürat: I came across an old photo. / He comes across as confident.
  • cut down on — azaltmaq: Cut down on sugar.
  • fall apart — dağılmaq: The plan fell apart.
  • get over — sağalmaq, ötüb keçmək: She got over the flu.
  • look into — araşdırmaq: We’ll look into the complaint.
  • put off — təxirə salmaq: They put off the meeting.
  • run out of — qurtarmaq: We ran out of time.
  • work out — həll olmaq / məşq: It worked out well.

Learn each phrasal as one chunk. Check separable vs inseparable: turn off the TV / turn the TV off.

AZ
Məsləhət: hər frazalı feili 1–2 nümunə ilə «blok» kimi öyrənin; ayrıla bilən (separable) olub-olmadığını qeyd edin.

Reading: Phrasal Verb

I always look after my little brother when my parents are busy. Yesterday, I came across an interesting article online. Sometimes, I give up on difficult exercises, but I try to continue. I ran into an old friend at the supermarket last week. I put off doing my homework until the evening. Using phrasal verbs makes my English sound more natural and native-like. I often learn new ones from movies, books, and conversations with friends.

Mən kimə baxıram (look after)?

Dünən nəyə rast gəldim (came across)?

Axşama qədər nəyi təxirə saldım (put off)?
